Temporary Heat & Climate Control for Your Active Job Sites
Cold weather creates real constraints on schedules, safety, and productivity. We provide planned, compliant temporary heat solutions - covering equipment, permits, fuelling, and ongoing support - so your site stays operational through winter.
End-to-End Temporary Heat Support
Temporary heat is more than just about dropping off equipment. It requires planning, compliance, fuel management, and responsive support when conditions change. We handle the full scope with licensed expertise, local accountability, and 24/7 availability, so your site stays operational and your schedule stays intact.
From early planning through day-to-day operation, we manage the full scope of temporary heat so your site can keep moving safely and efficiently.
Permits & Compliance
We manage gas permits for temporary heat systems where gas-fired equipment is used. Permit needs can vary by location and scope, and our team works with site supervisors to confirm requirements and ensure gas systems are installed and operated in accordance with applicable codes.
Heat Planning & System Design
Heat requirements vary depending on project size, layout, and complexity. For larger commercial, multi-phase, or complex sites, our team conducts site visits and develops formal heat plans that account for exposure, sequencing, fuel sources, and operating conditions.
For smaller projects and single-family construction, heat is typically configured based on site conditions and seasonal requirements without the need for a formal plan – allowing crews to get up and running quickly while still maintaining safe and effective operation.
We also assess available fuel sources on site – including propane, diesel, and natural gas – and configure heaters accordingly. Whenever gas or propane is involved, all installations and hookups are completed by our licensed gasfitters.
Hoarding & Site Containment
We supply and install 6-mil poly hoarding to temporarily enclose doors, windows, and building openings prior to permanent installation. Proper containment helps retain heat, manage moisture, and limit dust and contaminants – reducing rework, weather-related delays, and material damage during cold-weather phases.
Ground Thaw Solutions
When frost conditions affect excavation, concrete, or site preparation, we deploy proprietary controlled ground thaw systems using insulated tarps and stands to concentrate heat where it’s needed. This approach helps crews work safely and maintain progress during winter conditions without unnecessary disruption. This method, tested side-by-side with traditional methods, has proven to deliver faster and cleaner ground thaw.
Fuelling & Monitoring
We provide on-site fueling for heaters and generators, scheduling deliveries to support continuous operation throughout the project. Coordinated fueling helps prevent run-outs, reduces downtime, and keeps temporary heat systems operating as planned.
Ongoing Site Support
Temporary heat systems require active management. Our team provides ongoing support throughout the project, including on-site setup, maintenance, troubleshooting, and 24/7 on-call assistance when needed – so issues are addressed quickly and schedules stay intact.
Andrew C“We rented a propane heater from New West Equipment for a winter concrete pour. Clarence and team, including delivery staff, provided excellent service at a reasonable price. I would recommend them.”
