This past Christmas season marked the launch of something new at New West: the first annual Westie Awards. Inspired by the spirit of the Dundie Awards from The Office, the Westies were created to recognize the hard work, dedication, and unique personalities that make our team what it is.
The result was a night full of laughs, recognition, and a few surprises that quickly made this feel like a tradition in the making.
What Are the Westie Awards?
The Westie Awards are an internal recognition program designed to highlight both performance and personality across the company.
From field crews to office staff, the awards celebrate everything from strong leadership and dependable execution to teamwork, attitude, and those unforgettable moments that come with working in a fast-paced industry.
What makes the Westies a little different is that participation is opt-in—only staff who chose to take part were included in the nominations and awards. That simple detail helped keep the focus on those who wanted to lean into the fun and be part of the celebration.
